Larry HagmanCody’s Law–$10,000 Organ Donation Deduction
Arranged apperance by liver recipient / actor Larry Hagman. This landmark law has generated over 350 media stories nationwide, including two editorials in the Chicago Tribune and discussion on ABC News Radio’s “Paul Harvey-News and Comment,” as well as The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal.

The law was selected as a model by both the Council of State Governments (CSG) and the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) in 2006. It became the subject of a major 2008 John Hopkins School of Medicine study publshed in the American Journal of Transplantation.

Scott Becher was recognized by the UW Health OPO for his work to promote organ donation.
